Alliance National Article Writing Competition is being organised by Alliance School of Law, Alliance University.
Creating and spreading legal awareness is a basic objective of every law professionals, with this thought Alliance School of law has established Alliance University Legal Service Clinic (AULSC). AULSC was created with the main objective to let the students be the one creating awareness among people around us. This article writing competition is being held to achieve the same by inducing the minds of students by way of making students write an article regarding various topics relating to legal aid and legal awareness.
About Alliance National Article Writing Competition
Article writing can be considered to an art form, as not everyone posses the ability to mesmerize the readers with their words. A good article will include information, collected by research, along with suggestion on the point of view of the author. The main objective of this competition is to convey the thoughts of the students to people and raise awareness among the people in certain, and much needed legal topics, and to evaluate the students’ knowledge in the specific top.ics and their writing skills.
Themes
Students can write an article on any of the following topics:
- Right to legal assistance for an accused person
- ‘Innocent until proven guilty’ – does this approach affect the victims in any way?
- Basic structure of the constitution and its importance.
- The Rights of animals.
- Accessibility of law to the under privileged.

Rules of the Competition
- Formatting Specifications:The following formatting specifications need to be strictly adhered to:
- Main Body:Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 12, and Line Spacing – 1.5;
- Footnotes:Font – Times New Roman, Font Size – 10, and Line Spacing – 1.0 and footnotes must follow the Bluebook system of citation (APA, 20th edition).
- Word Limit: 2000- 2500 words excluding footnotes.
- Abstract:The article must contain an abstract, not exceeding 250 words.
- Plagiarism: The article must be original, unpublished and bona-fide work of the participant. Incomplete or plagiarized submissions shall be summarily rejected. The Similarity Index limit is 15%.

- Last date of registration: 30th April, 2022.
- Last date of submission: 15th May, 2022.
How to Submit?
- All submissions shall be submitted via email to santhiyaLLB18@law.alliance.edu.in
- The article must be accompanied by a cover letter containing the following information about the participant:
- Full name of the participant;
- Topic chosen;
- Participant’s current year of study and name of the degree pursued;
- Name of the participant’s university;
- Phone number of the participant and email ID of the participant
