In the recent times, the incident which has attracted the media galore is the protest of the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film faced huge ire as its cast includes Pakistani actors. In the wake of the Uri attack, this type of protest is bound to happen. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena activists were seen actively triggering the protest and their foremost demand was that the Pakistani actors should leave India as soon as possible. Their was huge outcry among the producers that the money has already been invested in the movie and the Pakistani actors, who have already been paid, had returned to their households in Pakistan. Now, if their was any hindrance in the release of the movie, it was the loss of Indians in actual. After the meeting of Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Raj Thackeray, Karan Johar and members of film producers association, it was cleared that MNS would not oppose the movie and thus the situation became normal. Still the association of the owners of single screen theaters
of four states are opposing its release. But , bigger trouble has disappeared as of now.

One thing which comes in mind is the coveted foreign policy of India regarding Pakistan. After the 2008 Mumbai attack, the policies regarding Pakistan completely changed. India started mounting pressure on Pakistan by dragging its cross border terrorism policies in the UN General Assembly. In the current world geopolitical situations where mutual interests sometimes overrides the sentiment of humanity, it is a much difficult task to bring all powers together on a general consensus. India worked hard and generated huge diplomatic pressure on Pakistan to take action upon the culprits.

Once the government changed, policies also changed. The new government tried to reinstate the bilateral relation and bring both the government on a dialogue table. Many steps were taken and the very famous incident of the Indian Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi Ji visiting Pakistan without any official trip to attend Nawaz Sharif’s Cousin marriage was the epitome. The Indian Prime Minister was accorded a red carpet welcome as IAF Boeing 737 plane made a smooth touchdown on Pakistan’s land. After the visit, India got a proper response in the form of Pathankot airbase attack which resulted in the death of seven security personnel and one civilian. Was that moment not the proper time to stop all kind of dialogues with Pakistan? Why it had continued till now? In the aftermath of the Uri attack when other trade were smoothly doing, only disturbing Bollywood is not the option. A clear cut policy should be followed and if ban has to be imposed, it should be upon all. Nation is always first and there is no compromise with its pride.
