The Rotaract Club established in the university is a part of the Rotary District 3102 and the parent Rotary International Club. The Rotary Club is dedicated to community services and improving individualities through projects like Project Gaon, Personal Development, etc.
About the Blog
The Rotaract Blog primarily promotes the club’s motto, Enhancing Inclusivity, Celebrating Unity and seeks to view it from multiple lenses including legal, political, social, economic, etc. It invites both monthly and rolling submissions of blogs.
Submission Categories
The Call for Blogs welcomes all kinds of submissions, including (but not limited to) articles, research pieces, opinions, case comments, short notes, short stories, poems, ghazal, etc. This particular call for blogs invites analysis and opinions.

Here are some pointers for what the Rotaract Club expects from authors submitting blogs for analysis and opinion on the India Budget 2024:
Understanding the Budget
Grasp of Key Areas: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the major sectors impacted by the budget like agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, education, etc.
Policy Analysis: Be able to analyse the budgetary allocations and their potential impact on these sectors.
Analysis and Opinion
- Data and Evidence: Support your arguments with data from credible sources like government reports, economic surveys, and budget documents.
- Balanced Viewpoint: Present a balanced viewpoint by acknowledging both positive and negative aspects of the budget.
- Target Audience: Consider the target audience (Rotaract members and general public) and tailor the complexity of analysis accordingly.
Writing Style and Structure
- Clarity and Conciseness: Write clearly and concisely, avoiding jargon.
- Structure: Follow a logical structure, introducing the budget, analysing its key points, providing your opinion and concluding remarks.
- Engagement: Use an engaging writing style to keep the reader interested.
Additional Considerations
- Originality: Present a unique perspective with an original analysis that goes beyond simply summarizing the budget.
- Recommendations: Conclude by offering recommendations on how the budget could be improved.
By following these pointers, authors can submit well-informed and engaging blogs that meet the expectations of the Rotaract Club.
Word Limit
The Word Limit is as follows:
- Analysis: 2000 words
- Opinion: 2500 words
Submission Guidelines
- Authorship: Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
- Formatting Guidelines: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Justified.
- Referencing: All references must be in the form of hyperlinks in the body of the submission. In case no hyperlink is available for any reference, the use of endnotes is recommended. The endnotes must conform with the 4th edition of the Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) style of citation.
- File Format: Submissions must be in a Word format (‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’).
- Originality: All works must be original and unpublished.

Review Process
- The submissions would be subjected to a review process and the Board’s decision on confirmation or rejection shall be communicated within a fortnight.
- The Board may suggest some suggestions or amendments and the final publication of the manuscript is contingent on the incorporation of such suggestions to the satisfaction of the Board.
- The decision of the Board would be final.
Copyright Policy
Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication by the Editorial Board, the copyright is vested in the Blog. However, the moral rights over the manuscript shall vest in the author(s).
