Centre for Research in Environmental Law (CREL) in collaboration with the Centre for Constitutional Law at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur is organising its 1st National Environmental Law PIL Drafting Competition 2024.

Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, established in 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh National University Act, is dedicated to advancing legal education and research. DNLU emphasizes advocacy skills and professional ethics through practical learning methods. The university hosts various centers, including the Centre for Research in Environmental Law (CREL) and the Centre for Constitutional Law (CCL), fostering legal scholarship and policy research.

About the Competition

The 1st National PIL Drafting Competition, 2024, is a prestigious national-level competition organized by CREL and CCL at DNLU. The competition focuses on Public Interest Litigation (PIL) Drafting related to Environmental and Constitutional Law. It aims to enhance participants' drafting skills and provide exposure to legal advocacy in public interest matters.

Theme

The drafting has to be prepared on a factual proposition based on Environmental and Constitutional Law to be released on 10th October 2024.

Who can Submit

The competition is open to all law students from recognized law schools, faculties, and universities across India. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to participate.

How to Submit

Participants must submit their PIL drafts through the official submission link provided upon final registration. Submissions should follow the specified guidelines and be uploaded in MS Word and PDF formats.
