About the National Drafting Competition

The Moot Court Committee of BBD University, School of Legal Studies is organizing its 1st National Drafting Competition. In our dynamic and evolving legal landscape, the role of writ petitions and PILs cannot be overstated. These legal tools serve as a beacon of hope, ensuring that justice is accessible and effectively delivered. This competition aims to provide a platform for law students across India to showcase their drafting skills and legal acumen. This unique opportunity not only fosters a deeper understanding of the legal profession's social impact but also empowers students to actively engage in addressing social inequalities through legal advocacy. By participating, individuals not only enrich their legal knowledge but also take tangible steps towards a more equitable and inclusive society, making a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Eligibility

  • The competition shall be open for the students currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in law i.e. 3 years LL.B. course or 5 years LL.B. course from any recognized University/College in India.
  • There is no restriction on the number of entries from any College or University.
  • “Individual Participation” as well as “Participation in a team of two” is allowed.
