About Karnavati University
Karnavati University is a State Private University dedicated to excellence in teaching and focused on interdisciplinary learning. Spread over 33 acres of land, the University is located in Uvarsad near Gandhinagar. United World School of Law is a constituent school of Karnavati University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The school is duly recognized by the Bar Council of India, UWSL offers an interdisciplinary law program, BB.A. LL.B. (Hons.), BALLB with specializations in IPR, Business Law, Criminal Law, International Law, LL.M. as well as doctoral programs.
About the Legal Aid Clinic
The Legal Aid Clinic of UWSL was constituted under The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), which was established under the legal services authorities act, of 1987 to provide pro bono legal services to the marginalized and underprivileged sections of the society. The Legal Aid Clinic has been offering legal representation and services to the marginalized and underprivileged sections of society.
Theme
Showcasing the Power of Social and legal awareness through short videos.
EVENT I: Let’s Talk Social Not Political
The competition’s goal is to raise awareness about social and legal awareness among citizens of India through short videos. The winning entry will serve as a powerful tool to educate and inform the target beneficiaries about the social problems.
Categories
Participants have to visit the places (village, taluka, etc) in person (if required) and make a short video explaining any one of the Social problems falling under the category-
- Corruption makes the country empty from the inside.
- Be the change you wish to see in the world.
- Save Paper – Save The Planet.
- There is no caste in blood.
- National integration confers strength to the nation.
- Don’t be a fool, respect road safety rules.
- Poverty is a condition that can be overcome through education.
- Say no to female foeticide!
- Education keeps people away from societal conflicts.
- Clean India, Healthy India!
- Educate a woman, educate the next generation!
- Good Touch- Bad Touch
Note: The above list is not exhaustive; participants are free to take any of the other topics which have a social impact on society.

Team Composition
A team can comprise a maximum of five members, and all communication will be conducted with the registered team representative. Each member of the team is eligible to receive E-certificates.

There is no registration fee involved.

Video Specifications
- Language: The maximum duration of the video can be up to 5 minutes. Videos can be in English or any Vernacular language but must have English subtitles.
- Format: Preferred formats are MP4 or MOV.
- Resolution: The minimum resolution should be 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) or higher.
- Usage Rights: UWSL reserves the right to use all submitted videos appropriately for creating awareness.
Evaluation Criteria
- Message Clarity: How effectively the video explains the Social problem, way out, awareness policy, the role of government, and laws for the same.
- Creativity and Originality: The innovative story techniques, unique visual elements, and imaginative approaches make the video stand out from others.
- Technical Quality Overall video production quality, including audio, visuals, and editing skills.
- Engagement and Impact: The video’s ability to captivate and engage the audience.
- Relevance The video’s relevance to the chosen theme and its potential to inspire and educate viewers.

- Video Submission Deadline: September 1, 2023
- Announcing Results: September 11, 2023

EVENT II: The Lens of a Change: Short Video-Making Competition
The competition’s goal is to raise awareness about government schemes among eligible villagers who lack knowledge about their benefits. The winning entry will serve as a powerful tool to educate and inform the target beneficiaries about these schemes.

Participants are to visit here and make a short video explaining any one of the Government schemes falling under the category.
- Social Welfare and Empowerment

- Agriculture, Rural, and Environment Schemes
