Committees

  1. UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL
    The Security Council has the primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security and takes the lead in determining the existence of a threat to the peace or act of aggression. It calls upon the parties to try to reach the agreement by peaceful means and recommends methods of adjustment or terms of the settlement. it may set forth principles for a peaceful settlement. The Council can also resort to imposing sanctions or even authorise the use of force to maintain or restore international peace and security.
  2. UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL
    The Human Rights Council is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations system made up of 47 states responsible for the promotion, protection and strengthening of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations.
  3. ALL INDIA POLITICAL PARTIES MEET
    The All India Political Parties Meet is a forum for unrestricted political debate, discussion and deliberation, free from the legislative functions of the parliament. The AIPPM is a venture to emulate political realities by stimulating the various levels of policy and governance existing in our nation today. Participants are allotted specific political parties, which they represent.
  4. UNION OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATIONS
    Hello to all the Football fans. The La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A are all underway and are building up nicely. But, What joy if we do not get to witness Manchester United taking on Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League tie? Or some more sumptuous ties between the best teams in the world?
    Ever wondered representing your favourite Club in a debate with all your rival teams and some appealing topics to discuss on. Who wouldn’t love discussing a football match with your friends? Here is your chance! Grab the opportunity to represent your favourite club on the UEFA committee of JMIMUN’18!
  5. UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY – PLENARY
    The United Nations General Assembly is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations Organization. It is the only one in which all member nations have equal representation, and the main deliberative, policy-making and representative organ of the UN. Its powers are to oversee the budget of the UN, appoint the non-permanent members to the Security Council, receive reports from other parts of the UN and make recommendations in the form of General Assembly Resolutions. It has also established numerous subsidiary organs.
  6. EXECUTIVE BOARD
    The Secretariat of JMI MUN announces that Executive Board applications are now closed.
