The Moot Court Committee (MCC) of Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU)successfully hosted the highly anticipated three-day National Moot Court Competition, 2024 under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor.

The competition, themed around Commercial and Constitutional Laws, featured rigorous rounds of memorial evaluations to select the top 20 teams for the oral arguments. Participants showcased outstanding legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills, fostering an environment of intellectual engagement and competitive spirit.

The Final Round and Valedictory Ceremony were honoured by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Justice Shri Pranay Verma, Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, and Hon’ble Justice Ravi Shanker Jha, Former Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court. Their immense expertise and insights added significant value to the competition, inspiring participants and enriching the proceedings with their profound understanding of law and advocacy.

The finalists delivered compelling arguments, exemplifying their exceptional legal aptitude and advocacy prowess. Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, emerged as the winner of the competition, while the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, secured the runners-up position. The event underscored the importance of fostering critical thinking, effective articulation, and legal expertise among future legal professionals.

The success of the competition was made possible under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh N. Hadli, Registrar, Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Dean of Students Welfare and Shri Shashank Pathak, Faculty In-charge by the dedicated efforts of the Moot Court Committee, led by Mr. Ashish Patel (Convenor), Ms. Vedanshi Gangrade (Co-convenor), Ms. Ishita, and Ms. Apoorva Singh Rathaur. Their meticulous planning and organization ensured the smooth execution of the event.

The 2024 National Moot Court Competition stands as a testament to DNLU’s commitment to nurturing legal talent and fostering excellence in legal education, marking a significant event in the academic calendar.
