Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection: Is it Just a Scam? My Frustrating Experience with Jeeves and Motorola Edge 50 Pro Claim
Thinking about buying Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection plan? Here’s an experience with their service provider, Jeeves—it’s been far from reassuring. Scroll down to read more!
When we buy a new phone, we often invest in additional protection plans for peace of mind. After all, accidents happen, and we want our devices covered. Like many others, I bought the Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection plan with my Motorola Edge 50 Pro. Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but reassuring.
The Nightmare Begins: No Response from Jeeves
The whole saga started when my Motorola Edge 50 Pro sustained damage this month. Following the process, I registered for protection on Jeeves, the exclusive service provider for Flipkart’s protection plans. Initially, they asked for photos of the damage, which I uploaded as required. After a few days, I received an email asking me to deposit a processing fee within 24 hours, which I promptly did.
At this point, I expected things to move forward smoothly. "Jeeves was supposed to pick up my phone for repair". However, more than 15 days have passed, and no pickup has been scheduled. No courtesy emails, no status updates—just complete silence. I was left with a broken phone and mounting frustration.
Repeated Calls, False Assurances, and Endless Waiting
I contacted Jeeves almost every alternate day, hoping for some clarity. Each time, I received the same response: “Wait for two days; we’re working on it.” I was assured that a manager would call me within four hours—something that never happened. After two weeks of waiting, I decided to escalate the matter to Flipkart’s customer support.
Flipkart’s response was equally disappointing. They assured me my issue would be addressed within four days. Yet, when the deadline came, I found my complaint marked as “resolved” without any action taken. Feeling deceived, I called again, only to be told to wait another four days.
An Intentional Strategy to Frustrate Customers?
At this point, I can’t help but wonder: Is Flipkart and Jeeves’s Complete Mobile Protection just a scam? The pattern seems all too familiar—delay after delay, empty promises, and unresponsive support. This lengthy process feels like an intentional strategy to frustrate customers into giving up on their claims. After being without a functional device for over two weeks, many would likely resort to paying for repairs independently.
Is Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection Worth It?
For potential buyers considering Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection, here’s a warning: think twice. My experience reflects a lack of accountability and transparency. Jeeves and Flipkart's mobile protection plan appears to prioritize making the claim process as frustrating as possible, leaving customers stranded with broken devices and little recourse.
The Bottom Line
When you’re paying for a protection plan, you expect it to work seamlessly. Unfortunately, my experience with Flipkart and Jeeves has been nothing but a runaround. If you've had similar experiences with Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection or Jeeves, share your stories in the comments below.
Let’s hold these companies accountable and make others aware. The best protection plan is one that actually protects, not one that hides behind tactful walls of delay and non-responsiveness.
