Central Law College, Salem is organizing Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan V – Inter College Moot Court Competition 2025, to be held from Feb 27 to 28 & March 1st, 2025

About the College

Central Law College was founded by Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan in the year 1984. The College is recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University.

About the Competition

Prof. R. V. Dhanapalan Inter College Moot has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning and development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in law and to develop cutting edge skills in research, drafting and advocacy.

It is aimed to facilitate the evolution of the jurisprudential analysis of the laws and consequential emergence of new laws.

Eligibility

• Participation is restricted to bona fide undergraduate students of 5 years/ 3 years Law programme of any University/College/Institution (recognised by the Bar Council of India).
• The Registration shall be restricted to 24 teams on a first come first serve basis.
• Only one team is allowed from each participating institution.

Interested candidates may register for the competition through the provided link towards the end of this post. Registration without a copy of the approval letter from the college/institution/university or duly attested registration form will not be valid.

Registration fee is Rs. 3000/- for each participating team

Awards and Rewards

• Winners of the Moot Court Competition will be awarded a Winner’s Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
• The Runners-up team will be awarded a Trophy, mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
• Most Disciplined Team
• Best Student Advocate Male
• Best Student Advocate Female
• The Best Researcher Award
• The Best Memorial Award
• Each participant in the Moot Court Competition will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.

Important Dates

• Last date for Final online Registration with payment – 29th January 2025
• Last date for sending the Hard Copy of the Registration Form and Registration Fee details – 31st January 2025
• Submission of 01 copy of both side Memorials (Soft Copy) – 15th February 2025
• Submission of 01 copy of both side Memorials (Hard Copy) with Travel detail form – 18th February 2025
• Desk Registration and (copies 5 on each side) memorial submission – 27th February 2025 at 3.00-3.30 p.m.
• Preliminary Rounds – 28th February 2025
• Quarter-Final Round – 28th February 2025
• Semi-Final Round – 1st March 2025
• Final Round – 1st March 2025
