About the Competition
Ramaiah College of Law is pleased to host the inaugural edition of the RCL NMC (National Mediation Competition) from August 18-20, 2023. The competition will host 24 teams from India, chosen based on the experience and accomplishments of universities in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
The objective of the competition is to instil negotiation and mediation skills in law students across India and expose them to a pragmatic approach based on real-life simulations. It will include a special training session conducted by 'CAMP' as well as various networking sessions for participants.
Dates
August 18th (Friday) to August 20th (Sunday).
Mode and Venue
Offline on the campus of Ramaiah College of Law.
Eligibility
All bonafide students of a recognised university enrolled in either a 5-year integrated course or a 3-year law degree.
Team Composition
Client - Attorney Segment and Mediator Segment.
Format
- Two Preliminary Rounds.
- One Quarter-final Round.
- One Semi-final Round.
- One Final Round.
Registration
- The registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, up to a maximum of 24 Mediating teams and 12 Mediators. Every Institute may register a maximum of two teams.
- Participating teams have to pay a registration fee of INR 7,500 per person.
- Fee for coaches is INR 7500.
