What is the right of preemption? Who may claim the right of preemption? When can this right of preemption be exercised? Comment. [25 Marks]

Question 10

Discuss the provisions of maintenance of wife by the husband under the Muhammadan Law. What right of maintenance a divorced wife has under the Muhammadan Law? Discuss in the light of Apex Court's decision in the case of Shah Bano. [25 Marks]
