Government Law College Kozhikode is inviting submissions for its upcoming National Seminar on Rights of Scheduled Tribes and Demand for Development with Dignity - Libertus Tribus.

About GLC Kozhikhode

Government Law College Kozhikode was established in the year 1970 to impart excell- ent education and kno- wledge in the field of law. Established as the third law college in Kerala, the college offers Five-year BBA, LLB, Three-year Unitary LLB undergraduate courses, Postgraduate course LLM (Taxation and Criminal Law) and Centre for Doctrine of Research PhD, under the University of Calicut.

About the Seminar - Libertus Tribus

The seminar aims to critically examine the existing legal and constitutional framework for tribal rights in India, providing an in- depth understanding of the socio-economic, political, and cultural challenges faced by tribal communities in India, across the country. It seeks to create a platform for meaningful dialogue among students, academics, legal practitioners, tribal representatives, and policymakers, fostering an exchange of perspectives and experiences. Additionally, the seminar will highlight successful models and case studies in tribal development and rights advocacy, allowing participants to learn from effective approaches. Ultimately, the goal is to propose actionable recommendations to strengthen tribal rights and address gaps in their implementation, contributing to a more just and inclusive society.

  • International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, 1965.
  • The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, 2007.

About Call for Papers

The seminar invites students, researchers, academicians, and professionals to submit research papers on themes related to tribal rights. Selected papers will be presented during the seminar, providing a valuable opportunity for participants to showcase their research and contribute to the academic discourse on tribal rights in India.

1. Abstract

All submissions for the abstract of the seminar should be uploaded in the google form given below along with necessary requirements.

2. Full Paper

All submissions for the full paper of the seminar should be uploaded in the Google form given below.

Remember to fill out all the requirements correctly, as it will be used for the certificates.

Students and LLM Scholars need not pay registration fee.
