Faculty of Law, SGT University, Gurugram is hosting its 1st National Youth Parliament, Rashtriya Yuva Sansad, 2024, scheduled to be held on 31st May - 01st June 2024.
About the University
SGT UNIVERSITY is renowned for its leadership in medical and health sciences. It established the Faculty of Law in 2014 to promote and profound scholarship and enlighten research in law, to provide highest quality legal education to face the new challenges and dimensions of the internationalisation of the legal profession. The vision of SGT University is to be “recognised nationally and globally for excellences in clinical legal education, community based out reach programs socially relevant research for honing up Lawyering, Arbitration, Mediation and Client Counselling Skills”.
About the Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law is part of a fully-developed institutional area with the modern infrastructure and academic aura of SGT University. The campus has been designed and developed with a great sense of aesthetics to provide an eco-friendly environment and ambience to stimulate the learning process.
About the Event
Youth Parliament is a simulation of a Parliamentary session wherein the participants understand the parliamentary procedure and develop an insight into the workings of the Parliament. It is a platform to discuss national issues on a large scale in a proper forum and in front of experienced moderators. It brings youngsters on the same platform and allows them to stimulate discussion and develop possible solutions. FOL, SGTU is organising RASHTRIYA YUVA SANSAD 2024 comprising four major committees that are :
Committees
Lok Sabha
- Agenda: Deliberation on the review of the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on the cases relating to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
- Agenda: Electoral reforms in India.
International Conference
- Agenda: Discussion between the countries whether capital punishment formerly called judicial homicide is justified or not.
Rajya Sabha
- Agenda: Violence in Manipur and the deteriorating law and order situation in the Northeastern state.

Eligibility
The competition is open to students from different academic fields of any recognised University/Institution enrolled on a regular basis in an undergraduate course.
