Central Law College, Salem is organizing Prof RV Dhanapalan National Moot Court Competition 2024 scheduled to be held from January 26 to 28, 2024.
About the College
Central Law College was founded by Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan in the year 1984. The College is recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University.
About the Competition
Prof RV Dhanapalan National Law Moot has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning and development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in law and developing cutting-edge skills in research, drafting and advocacy. It is aimed to facilitate the evolution of the jurisprudential analysis of the laws and consequential emergence of new laws.
Eligibility
- Participation is restricted to bona fide undergraduate students of 5 years/ 3 years Law programme of any University/College/Institution (recognised by the Bar Council of India).
- The Registration shall be restricted to 24 teams on a first come first serve basis.
- Only one team is allowed from each participating institution.

Awards
- Winners of the Moot Court Competition will be awarded with a Winner’s Trophy, Mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- Runners-up team will be awarded a Trophy, Mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- Most Disciplined Team (1 team based on average court manners marks in all rounds) will be awarded a Trophy, Mementos for team members and a Certificate of Merit.
- Best Student Advocate Male (Top male speaker) will be awarded a Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- Best Student Advocate Female (Top female speaker) will be awarded a Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- The Best Researcher Award (highest aggregate marks in the researcher Test), Top Researcher will be awarded with a Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- The Best Memorial Award (highest aggregate marks of both memorials), Top team with highest mark of the memorial, will be awarded a Trophy and a Certificate of Merit.
- Each participant in the Moot Court Competition will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
Participants shall attend on all days mandatorily from registration to valedictory in formals. Prizes and certificates shall be issued only in Valedictory and to the concerned participant only, attendance is mandatory. The host institution shall not be responsible for their certificates in case of absence.

- Submission of both side Memorials (Soft Copy): 11th January 2024
- Submission of both side Memorials (Hard Copy) with Travel Form:16th January 2024
- Desk Registration and (copies 5 on each side) memorial submission: 26th January 2024 at 4.00-5.00 p.m.
- Preliminary Rounds: 27th January 2024
- Quarter-Final Round: 27th January 2024
