The event will discuss the link between Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the role of IP in promoting green technologies and addressing global challenges.

Alliance Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (ACIPR) is established with an aim to evolve as a center of excellence in IPR Research and Innovation. It intends to engage academicians, jurists, research scholars and practitioners in research and training for the promotion and protection of IP rights.
About the Workshop
Alliance Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (ACIPR), Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru, is organising a one-day "National Workshop on Fostering Innovation and Creativity through Sustainability towards a Common Future" to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day, 2024. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are intrinsically intertwined, fostering innovation and environmental stewardship.
This workshop explores the nexus between IP and SDGs, delving into national as well as international initiatives and strategies to bridge the gap. It aims to unravel the intricate relationship between IP protection and the promotion of green technologies, clean energy, and industrial development while addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity, and food security. Participants will gain valuable insights into utilizing IP as a catalyst for sustainable development and making progress toward achieving the SDGs.
