Jabalpur, MP – Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) on 22.11.2024 organized a comprehensive training programme for officials of the Economic Offence Wing (EOW), Jabalpur, focusing on newly implemented criminal and corruption laws. The event, aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of law enforcement officials, was inaugurated by Shri Atul Singh, DIG, Jabalpur, MP Police, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Shri R.D. Bharadwaj, SP, Economic Offence Wing, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor of DNLU, Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh N. Hadli, Registrar, DNLU, and Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Dean of Students Welfare, DNLU.

The programme was divided into three insightful sessions, covering significant aspects of the newly enacted laws providing an Overview of Changes in the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, Bharatiya Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. The sessions were delivered by Dr. Animesh Jha, Assistant Professor at DNLU, and Shri Harsh Singh Bahrawat, Registrar (Admin) at the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, who effectively addressed the nuances and practical implications of the new legal framework.

The event culminated in a Valedictory Ceremony, which was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor of DNLU, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development in the field of law enforcement. The programme was jointly coordinated by Shri Manjit Singh, DSP, EOW and Dr. Praveen Tripathi, Dean of Student Welfare DNLU.

This training programme stands as a significant step towards equipping the Economic Offence Wing of Jabalpur with the knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of the newly implemented criminal and corruption laws, ensuring a more effective and streamlined approach to tackling economic crimes.
