Jabalpur, M.P. – The Centre for Constitutional Law (CCL) at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), under the leadership of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, conducted an impactful Speed Mentoring Session at St. Joseph’s Convent Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Jabalpur. The session, aimed at educating young students about the "Importance of Fundamental Rights and Duties," was a step towards nurturing well-informed and responsible citizens.
Empowering Young Minds with Constitutional Knowledge
The event opened with an engaging discussion led by student members of the CCL, who spoke passionately about key Fundamental Rights such as the Right to Equality, Freedom of Speech, and the Right against Discrimination. They also emphasized the importance of upholding Fundamental Duties, including respecting the Constitution, protecting the environment, and promoting harmony within the nation.
Ms. Anshika Mishra introduced the topic with a focus on the “Fundamental Rights and the Idea of Equality,” while Mr. Priyansh Shyag elaborated on the “Significance of Article 19 and Article 21,” touching on Freedom of Speech and the Right to Life, respectively. Ms. Jigyasa Singh further discussed “Fundamental Duties,” highlighting citizens’ responsibilities toward the nation.
Interactive Learning Through Case Studies
A unique feature of the session was a brainstorming activity, where students were divided into teams and mentored through fact-based scenarios. Each group was tasked with identifying which constitutional rights were infringed and explaining the rationale behind their decisions. This hands-on experience allowed the students to apply their newly acquired knowledge, and their performance in the exercise was highly commendable.

The initiative was well-received by the school’s principal, Sister Navya, and the teaching faculty.
