19th November, Jabalpur — Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, has achieved a significant milestone by being awarded a grant under the Australia-India Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership (AICCTP). The grant will support DNLU’s project titled “Developing an Ethical Framework for Using Blockchain-based Digital Credential Systems: Tackling the Issue of Fake Degrees.” This groundbreaking initiative is being conducted in collaboration with Monash University, the project’s partner institution.
First Among India's National Law Schools to Achieve This Feat
DNLU has become the first National Law School in India to secure this prestigious grant in 2024. Alongside DNLU, other notable Indian institutions like the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), the Quantum Ecosystems Technology Council of India (QETCI), and the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) have also received grants under the program.

About the AICCTP
Established in 2020, the Australia-India Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between Australia and India on critical technology and cybersecurity issues. The program fosters partnerships across academia, businesses, government bodies, and other institutions. Its key initiatives include:
- Research Grants: Supporting joint research on ethical frameworks and technical standards.
- Policy Exchanges: Promoting dialogue on emerging technology policies.
- Awareness Programs: Raising awareness about the responsible use of critical technologies.
