About Legal Bites
Legal Bites, a leading online platform for law students and professionals, has recently been recognised by Startup India, a flagship initiative of the Government of India to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. This recognition is a testament to the vision and mission of Legal Bites, which aims to provide quality legal education and guidance to the aspiring legal fraternity.
Legal Bites was founded in 2016 by Mr. Mayank Shekhar, an alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, who wanted to create a one-stop solution for all the legal needs of students and practitioners. Legal Bites offers a wide range of services, such as law notes, case summaries, study materials, mock tests, online courses, mentorship programs, webinars, competitions, and more. Legal Bites also publishes articles, blogs, interviews, and news on various legal topics and issues.

By being recognised by Startup India, Legal Bites will be able to access a host of benefits and opportunities under the Startup India initiative. Some of these benefits include self-certification for compliance, fast-tracking of patent applications and IPR protection, tax exemptions for three consecutive years, exemption from angel tax under Section 56 of the Income Tax Act, easier public procurement norms, and easy winding up of the company. Legal Bites will also be able to connect with other startups, investors, incubators, mentors, and government agencies through the Startup India portal.
