Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Option A:
- Master’s Degree: Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- NET Qualification: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR (as per exemption rules in the general note).
Option B:
Ph.D. from Top Ranked Foreign Institution: The Ph.D. must have been obtained from a foreign institution/university ranked among the top 500 globally in any one of the following rankings:
- QS World University Rankings
- Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Jiao Tong University
