11th UFYLC Ranka National Moot Court Competition 2023

University Five Year Law College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur is organising the 11th UFYLC RANKA National Moot Court Competition, 2023 in association with RANKA Public Charitable Trust, from 09th to 11th of December, 2023.

About the University

The University of Rajasthan is a public and state university and one of the oldest universities in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located in the city of Jaipur. It was set up on 8th January 1947, as the University of Rajputana and was given its current name in the year 1956. The University Five Year Law College, a self-financing endeavour, offers an integrated BA- LLB (Hons.) course. The course was designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of the law, both theoretical and practical, through classroom teaching, moot Courts, seminars, lectures and internships.

About the Competition

The Ranka National Moot Court Competition, graciously hosted by the venerable University Five Year Law College in Jaipur, stands as a resounding tribute to the profound vision of the Ranka Public Charitable Trust, established in the year 1980 under the distinguished leadership of Late Dr N.M. Ranka, a Senior Advocate of great renown, this trust blazed a trail by introducing the concept of Moot Court Competitions to the legal landscape of Rajasthan.

Eligibility

All students enrolled in a recognised 3-year LLB Program or a recognised 5-year integrated Law program, in the territorial boundaries of India, shall be eligible to participate in the competition.

Team Size

Each team shall comprise three (3) members ONLY out of which two (2) will be speakers and one (1) researcher.

• The fee for the competition shall be paid to the bank account mentioned below. After payment of the fee, the candidate/team must ensure that the screenshot is taken.
• The screenshot shall be used for verification purposes. All the participating institutions must confirm participation by attaching a screenshot of the payment receipt in the Google form.

• Winning Team: Trophy + Certificate of Excellence + INR 15,000.
• Runners-up: Trophy + Certificate of Excellence + INR 11,000.
• Best Student Advocate (Appellant): Trophy + INR 4,000.
• Best Student Advocate(Respondent): Trophy + INR 4,000
• Best Student Researcher: Trophy + INR 4,000.
• Best Memorial Award: Trophy + INR 6,000.
• Certificates of participation will be given to all the participants.
