CMP Degree College is organising its 1st Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2025 in a hybrid mode.
About the College
Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Degree College (CMP), a prestigious constituent college of the University of Allahabad, has announced the 1st Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2025. Known for its excellence in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Law, the college caters to over 15,000 students annually, fostering intellectual and professional growth. The Law Faculty, established in 1972, has produced exceptional legal professionals, including judges and academicians.
About the Competition
The moot court competition will bring together law students from across the country to test their advocacy skills. The competition is structured in two stages: the preliminary elimination round (online) and advanced rounds (offline).
Team Composition and Eligibility
Each team may comprise either of two or three members, with fixed roles as speakers and a researcher. Law students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programs from BCI-recognized institutions are eligible to participate. A maximum of two teams can represent one institution. Faculty members, coaches, or observers are not allowed to assist teams during the competition. Cross Institutional teams are also allowed to participate in the competition.
Competition Structure
The competition shall be in hybrid mode. The competition begins with two online preliminary rounds, followed by offline advanced rounds at CMP Degree College, Prayagraj. Teams will submit memorials in the initial stage, and the top eight teams will advance to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided only to the teams qualifying for the advanced rounds. The offline round is scheduled on March 8, 2025.
Language
The official language of the competition is English.

- Online Round: 23rd February, 2025 (Inaugural Ceremony, Preliminary Round 1 & 2)
- Hard Copy Submission: 25th February, 2025
- Offline Round (Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, Final Round, Valedictory Ceremony): 08th March, 2025

Registration
Teams must fill out the registration form available online and submit a fee of ₹1,500 for the preliminary rounds. Teams qualifying for the advanced rounds will need to pay an additional fee of INR 3,500, which covers accommodation.
