Unity Post Graduate College, Lucknow is organizing the 8th Justice Murtaza Husain Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2023, scheduled to be held from 03rd - 05th November 2023.
About the College
Unity Post Graduate College, Lucknow was the first college in Lucknow to institute the five-year integrated program of law under the aegis of Lucknow University. Since its inception, the faculty has been developing through the guiding light of its founder, Justice Murtaza Hussain. Our sincere endeavor has been to make legal education an instrument of social, political, and economic change, and to craft future lawyers who will be competent in the art of advocacy at both the trial and appellate levels and skilled in judicial administration.
About the Competition
The purpose of the Moot Court Competition is to give exposure to students pursuing an LL.B Degree Course to hone their advocacy skills and to provide a real litigation experience in doing cutting-edge research, presenting persuasive and cohesive arguments, and contributing to the development of jurisprudence in concerned areas of law.
Eligibility
Each Institution offering an undergraduate LL.B. Degree Course is eligible to participate in the competition. A team shall comprise of members from one institution. Similarly, not more than one team can participate from any institution. The Competition is open for students in LL.B. undergraduate degree courses.
Registration
Teams must register by 23:59 hrs on 25th October 2023 (Wednesday) by sending an email to unitymootcourtcommittee@gmail.com with the Subject: “Registration for 8th Justice Murtaza Husain Moot 2023” and also inform us regarding accommodation as per Rule 12 [Refer to Rule Book at end of the post]

- Winners: Cash Prize of INR 20,000 + Certificate of Excellence
- Runner Up: Cash Prize of INR 15,000 + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Memorial: Cash Prize of INR 6000 + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Mooter: Cash Prize of INR 5000 + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Researcher: Cash Prize of INR 5000 + Certificate of Excellence
- Certificate for Participation will be given to all participants
