(i) Attempt five questions in all. Section 'A' has only question no. 1, which is compulsory. Section 'B' and Section 'C' each have four questions. Attempt any two questions from each of Section 'B' and Section 'C'.

Section-A
Question 1
(a) 'A', a 24-year-old male, and 'B', a 23-year-old female, intend to get married. Since they belong to different castes, their families oppose the marriage and threaten them with honour killing. Considering the above facts, explain the legal provisions and judicial decisions regarding the protection of the couple from the threat of honour killing. (10 Marks)
(b) 'A' goes to a jewellery shop and presents his fake identity as a commercial tax inspector to the shop owner 'B'. 'A' insists on examining the shop's books of accounts, to which 'B' requests two days' time. 'A' accepts the request to return in two days and takes ornaments worth ₹50,000 on credit. Analysing the above facts, discuss the criminal liability of 'A'. (10 Marks)

Question 2
(a) 'A' was prosecuted for committing rape against prosecutrix 'B'. Due to lack of evidence, 'A' was acquitted. 'C' publishes the entire facts of the case along with the prosecutrix's name in his daily newspaper. Considering the above facts, discuss the criminal liability of 'C' with relevant statutory provisions and judicial decisions. (10 Marks)
(b) 'A' and 'B' are rivals. 'A' instigates his 6-year-old son 'C' to murder 'B'. 'C' takes a knife and stabs 'B', critically injuring him, though 'B' survives. Analysing the above facts, discuss the criminal liability of 'A' and 'C'. (10 Marks)

(a) Distinguish between 'Police Custody' and 'Judicial Custody'. (5 Marks)
(b) 'C' is detained in his house under a court-ordered house arrest. He remains under house arrest for 50 days. At the request of the Investigating Officer, the court ends the house arrest order and sends 'C' to judicial custody. After some time, 'C' demands statutory bail under Section 167 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, considering the 50-day period of house arrest.
