Prayagraj, March 18, 2025 – In a significant step toward advancing legal education and research, Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj (NLU, Prayagraj) and National Law University, Delhi (NLU, Delhi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster intellectual and research capacity building, as well as academic collaboration.
The MoU was formally signed by Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, Vice-Chancellor of NLU, Prayagraj, and Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor of NLU, Delhi. This agreement marks a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing academic cooperation and promoting legal scholarship between two of India’s leading national law universities.
Objective of the MoU
The MoU sets out a framework for developing research-oriented initiatives and strengthening academic engagement between NLU Prayagraj and NLU Delhi. The partnership is designed to:
- Facilitate joint research projects on contemporary legal issues
- Encourage knowledge exchange through seminars, conferences, and workshops
- Promote dialogue among legal scholars, students, and practitioners
- Establish faculty and researcher exchange programs to share expertise and insights
- Provide research scholarships and academic training programs to support student learning and development

Speaking on the occasion, Sr. Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, Vice Chancellor of NLU Prayagraj, emphasized the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in legal academia. She highlighted that this initiative would enrich NLU Prayagraj’s research ecosystem and create new opportunities for scholarly engagement.

Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor of NLU, Delhi, also expressed his confidence in the collaboration, stating that the joint initiatives will pave the way for cutting-edge legal research and strengthen the academic foundation of both institutions.
Exchange Programs and Research Opportunities
