About HPNLU Shimla
Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (HPNLU, Shimla) was established by the Act of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan in 2016 (Act 16 of 2016). In the eight years of its foundation, HPNLU, Shimla has seen tremendous growth and has undertaken a good number of innovative measures to enhance the academic potential of its faculty members, students, and research scholars.
About the Competition
Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, (HPNLU, Shimla) is delighted to announce 5th HPNLU National Moot Court Competition, 2024. This flagship event has been devised with the aim to create an opportunity for learning the development of jurisprudence on emerging trends in constitutional law, besides armouring the upcoming generations of the legal fraternity with research and oratory skills.
The Moot Proposition of the Competition will revolve around Constitutional Law. However, the participants will be expected to explore different dimensions of law and not restrict themselves to the theme of the Competition.

- Submission Deadline for Soft Copy of Memorials: 25th October 2024
- Preliminary Rounds (Oral): 6th November 2024
- Researchers Test: 7th November 2024
- Quarter Final Rounds: 7th November 2024
- Declaration of Results: 7th November 2024
- Semi-Final Rounds: 16th November 2024
- Final Round: 16th November 2024
Awards
- Winner: Cash Prize of INR 25, 000 /- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) + Certificate of Excellence + Three (3) one- year complimentary subscription to SCC Online Web Edition to be distributed to the winning team worth Rs. 24,000 each. Total value = Rs. 72,000
- Runners Up: Cash Prize of INR 15,000 /- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Online) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Memorial: Cash Prize of INR 10,000 /- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Speaker: Cash Prize of INR 10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Best Researcher: Cash Prize of INR 10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) + Certificate of Excellence
- Please note that a Certificate of Merit will be presented to all teams qualifying to Online Quarter Final Rounds and Of line Oral Rounds, and E-Certificate of Participation to all teams participating in Online Oral Rounds along with One month access to the SCC Online Web Edition to all participants valued at Rs. 1099 each.
