04th December 2024, Gurugram - Faculty of Law at SGT University witnessed a historic moment on December 4, 2024, with the grand launch of its Pro Bono Club. Aptly titled Praarambhika, the event was a celebration of the university's commitment to social justice and legal empowerment.

Visionary Leadership

The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Richa Chaudhary, Dean of the Faculty of Law, with coordination by Ms. Rakhi Tewari, Assistant Professor and Legal Aid Cell Coordinator. Together, they crafted a platform for students to actively engage in pro bono legal work and contribute to access to justice.

Panel Discussion: Access to Justice in India

The event began with a thought-provoking panel discussion on the theme "Access to Justice: Scope and Challenges in the Current Indian Scenario." The session featured evaluations by esteemed judges:

  • Dr. Sarju Devi, Associate Dean and Head of the Centre for Language and Communication.
  • Dr. Ashwani Kumar Dwivedi, Head of the Faculty of Law.

Participants from various university clubs, including Prabandhan, Tuskers, Manthan, and the Literary Club, presented vibrant and insightful ideas, fostering a lively intellectual exchange.
