Justice Murari commenced his tenure in the Supreme Court of India on September 23, 2019, where he exemplified principles of justice and fairness throughout his service. He concluded his esteemed journey at the apex court upon retiring on July 8, 2023. Prior to his elevation to the apex court, he held the prestigious position of Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court from June 2, 2018, to September 22, 2019.

His stewardship in the Punjab and Haryana High Court further solidified his reputation as a jurist of exceptional calibre. Before his tenure in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Murari served as a judge in the Allahabad High Court from August 18, 2005, until June 1, 2018. His long and distinguished tenure in one of India's oldest and most esteemed high courts honed his expertise in various facets of law, including Intellectual Property Rights. Retired from the judiciary with a distinguished career, Justice Murari brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and innovation.
