About MNLU Mumbai
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU Mumbai) is a National Law University at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is a National Law University established in India by The Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014, passed by Maharashtra Legislature under the Maharashtra Act No VI of 2014. MNLU Mumbai offers a five-year integrated B.A LL.B.(Hons.) course. Admissions are taken through the Common Law Admission Test.
About the Competition
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai in association with All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (Western Zone), & Income-tax Appellate Tribunal Bar Association – Mumbai brings to you the 14th edition of the Padma Vibhushan N.A. Palkhivala Memorial National Moot Court (Virtual) Competition, 2024 as well as the Padma Vibhushan N.A. Memorial National Research Paper Competition, 2024. The moot revolves around taxation law and seeks to inculcate interest in Tax law practice in the minds of students.
Eligibility
Participation is strictly restricted to bona fide law students enrolled in the three-year or five-year LL.B. or degree course in any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Each College/University/Institution shall be allowed to register only one team in the competition.
Location
The competition will be conducted in virtual (online) mode.
Registration
Moot Court Competition
- The teams are required to duly complete the registration process by 15th September 2024 (11:59 P.M.) by filling out the Google form. Participants will not be permitted to make changes in the team composition after completion of the registration except in case of any medical exigencies.

- Students must confirm their participation by submitting the research papers on or before 30th September, 2024 via the Google Form provided

Registration Fee
The Registration Fee for the teams will be Rs. 2,500/- for the oral rounds. The registration fee will be non-refundable and paid by all teams, irrespective of their participation in the Oral Rounds. Kindly note that there are no registration fees for participating in the Research Paper Competition.

- Runner-Up - Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs. 30,000 /-

- Best Speaker – Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/-
- Best Researcher – Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/-
- Best Memorial (Petitioner) - Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/-
- Best Memorial (Respondent) - Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/-
