Crescent School of Law (CSL) is organising its 3rd B.S. Abdur Rahman Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2025, scheduled to be held from 07 - 09 February 2025.
About the Institution
B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a renowned institution founded by the late Dr. B. S. Abdur Rahman. With over 40 years of excellence, the institution offers a wide range of academic programs across 12 schools, including 32 undergraduate programs, 25 postgraduate programs, and Ph.D. programs. It has established itself as a leader in higher education, known for its commitment to quality, security, and placement. About Crescent School of Law
The Crescent School of Law (CSL) was established to produce law graduates with a strong understanding of legal principles and the skills to adapt to changes in the legal environment. Its goal is to prepare students to excel in their chosen fields, meet the growing demand for legal professionals in both mainstream and corporate sectors. CSL offers two undergraduate 5-year integrated courses: B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). Additionally, it offers a 2-year LL.M. program in Criminal Law and a Ph.D. program in Law.
About the Competition
The 3rd B.S. Abdur Rahman Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2025 (BSARMMCC), hosted by Crescent School of Law, Chennai, celebrates its legacy as a prestigious event in the legal academic community. This competition has, over its previous two editions, attracted top law schools from across the country, establishing itself as a symbol of excellence in legal advocacy.
BSARMMCC invites aspiring legal professionals to showcase their talents in research, writing, advocacy challenging its participants with complex and contemporary legal issues, pushing them to demonstrate both their academic expertise accompanied with practical understanding of the law.
Eligibility
- Students pursuing an integrated 5-year LL.B. program in a university/college recognized by the Bar Council of India can participate.
- Students enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. program in a university/college recognized by the Bar Council of India are also eligible.
- Each institute can send only one team to participate in the moot court competition.
- If a university has affiliated or constituent colleges, each affiliated or constituent college may register one team.
Team Composition
Each team must consist of a minimum of two (2) members and a maximum of three (3) members.
Teams may comprise:
- Two (2) speakers only, or
- Two (2) speakers and one (1) researcher.
Teams must identify the speakers and the researcher at the time of registration.
No changes in team composition are allowed after formal registration unless approved by the Organizing Committee.

The competition conducted in offline mode at Crescent School of Law, B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

- Team must complete online registration and submit the scanned registration form, along with both soft and hard copies of the memorials, to the organising committee.

- 15th January 2025: Registration Deadline
- 22nd January 2025: Last date of seeking Clarifications
- 27th January 2025: Release of Clarifications
- 31st January 2025: Memorial Submission (Soft Copy)
- 5th February 2025: Memorial Submission (Hard Copy)
- 7th February 2025: Inaugural Ceremony & Draw of Lots
- 8th February 2025: Preliminary Rounds & Quarterfinals
- 9th February 2025: Semi-finals, Researcher Test, Finals & Valedictory
Registration Fee
Teams must pay a registration fee of Rs. 3000/- and submit the relevant details in the registration form.

- Winners – INR 60,000/- Memento, and Certificate
- Runner Up – INR 35,000/- Memento, and Certificate
- Best Speaker (Male)– INR 15,000/- Memento, and Certificate
- Best speaker (Female) – INR 15,000/- Memento, and Certificate
